Goat of the Boat

On September 6th 2026, Zwart op Wit is collaborating with chess streamer ChessA-Z (             )

to organize the first edition of Goat of the Boat - a casual blitz chess tournament that takes place on a tour boat going through the canals of Amsterdam.

• Date & Time: September 6th from 14:00 to 16:00​

• Entry fee: 15,-

• Format: 6 round swiss tournament

• Time control: 3+2 (blitz)

• Player limit: 32

• Start & end location: Stadhouderskade 501 (opposite to the Hard Rock Café)

• Drinks/food: No catering is provided on board and it is not allowed to bring your own drinks/food. You are allowed to bring a bottle of water.​

• Boat: For this tournament we will be renting a tour boat from Blue Boat.

• Spectators: There might be enough space for a few spectators to join the boat tour without playing chess. Please contact us directly if this something you are interested in.
